From Den Oever: follow the buoyed main route via Visjagersgaatje up to Gat van de Stier. Then to starboard on the Texelstroom, direction Oudeschild. At buoy T12 turn port side out to the harbour entrance. Best departure time is 1.5 hours before Den Oever low tide. Until Texelstroom you will benefit from the ebb current, then the rising tide towards Oudeschild. Count on a sailing time of 2 to 2.5 hours.
From Kornwerderzand: follow the wide, buoyed route via Dove Balg and Texelstroom. Before Oudeschild, turn starboard to the harbour entrance. Depart from Kornwerd with high tide and until 2 hours thereafter. Then you will have the ebb current along the entire route. Sailing time approx. 3 hours.
From Den Helder: follow the buoyed route across the Texelstroom until the entrance to the port of Oudeschild. At buoy T12, turn portside to the harbour entrance. Best departure time is approx. 2 hours after low tide. You will then benefit from the strong tidal current to Oudeschild. Sailing time approx. 1 hour.
Please note: for safety reasons, it is forbidden to sail into the port of Oudeschild.
